This talk provides a meaningful and relatable perspective on dyslexia, including how dyslexia might present in children, the brain science behind dyslexia, and how to support a dyslexic child. Dr. Adams will share a neurobiological perspective on dyslexia, including a dyslexia simulation exercise, helping to shed light on the dyslexic reader’s lived experience. Dr. Adams will also discuss valuable support strategies.

Presenter Bio:

Dr. Liz Adams is a board-certified clinical neuropsychologist and owner of Minnesota Neuropsychology. She completed her PhD at Fuller Graduate School in Los Angeles, clinical training at UCLA’s Neuropsychiatric Institute, a residency in neuropsychology at Rush University Medical Center, and a 2-year post-doctoral fellowship in neuropsychology at the Medical College of Wisconsin.
